This is what we'll be digging into...

mindfulness, orienting to the good, gratitude, connection, self-compassion and optimism

These are skills that anyone can learn, with practice, and like any exercise when you practice you see results. For creating new habits the truth of it is, practice makes permanence. As individuals we have our typical defaults that are automatic because our brains love predictability and patterns (that is why it is so hard to do something new). What we are looking to do is create new pathways in our fabulous, malleable brain. For example meditation not only helps in the moment, but cumulatively over time it changes how the brain functions. The result is that we start to live our day to day experience mindfully, as opposed to spinning between the past and the future and not being able to enjoy the present moment.

FAQ

Maybe you have some questions I can help you answer.

  • What is the structure of the course?

The course has an overview and then 6 steps covering the topics of Mindfulness, Orienting to the Good, Gratitude, Connection, Self-Compassion and Optimism. Each step will have an educational powerpoint narrated by myself. And then there are action steps (aka homework) for you to engage in, which may be things like reading articles and an active practice like mindfulness and responding to thoughts/ideas in the discussion forum-to connect to other course participants. Practice makes permanence!

  • When are the Q&A/coaching calls?

The weekly group coaching calls will be on Wednesdays from 12p-1p EST each week while the course is running and will address questions you might have, places where you might get stuck, and tips to help you be successful.

  • How much time do I need to commit to this?

Well, I've learned that pretty much in life the more you dedicate time to something you want to learn, the more positive the result, right? There are three different formats: course alone, course with a Facebook group, and finally an option to add weekly group coaching calls. You choose what's best for how you learn.

  • What are the payment options?

The three different formats of the course have different price points. For the course and the course with FB group, it's a one time payment. For the course with FB and group coaching, there is the option to pay in three installments. Payment can be made with debit, credit, or PayPal after you sign up.

  • Do you give discounts?

Recognizing this pandemic year and systematic inequities, I give a 20% discount to individuals who have lost a significant portion of their income and people who Identify as Indigenous, Black and a person of color. Please email me.

  • I have another question... Is there a way I can get in touch with you?

No problem! You can email me your question, or we can talk on the phone and I'll answer any questions you have about the course, so you can get a good feel if this is the right fit for you.
